A: BK Camera Repair is conveniently located in the western suburb of Downers Grove on 5413 Walnut Avenue on the first floor of a two-story office building between Maple Avenue and I-355 , located in Suite 1B. We are minutes away from downtown Downers Grove and Interstates I-355/I-294/I-88.
Q: Are cleanings and repairs performed onsite?
A: Yes, we have expertly trained technicians who perform cleaning and repair services in our Downers Grove location.
Q: How much does repair services cost?
A: Repair costs vary based on the specific issue and problem of your equipment. BK Camera Repair will diagnose your equipment and provide a free detailed estimate within 24 hours of receipt of your equipment.
Q: What does camera and lens cleaning services consist of?
A: BK Camera Repair's cleaning services are always performed by hand using precision tools and high quality solvents to ensure dust, dirt and liquid spots are meticulously removed by our technicians.
Digital/Film Camera - includes detailed cleaning of the entire camera body’s exterior including the mirror, mount, LCD screens, switches, flash shoe, battery holder, grips, film back, film pressure plates, memory card holder and the Digital Image Sensor (CCD and CMOS) for all Digital SLR’s.
Lenses – includes detailed cleaning the entire lens exterior including the front element, rear element, filters, mount, focus/zoom grips and switches.
Our technicians will attempt to remove any dust or dirt within a camera’s viewfinder display under the standard cleaning service prices. If disassembly of a unit is required, an estimate will be provided upon request. Any internal dust or dirt within a lens unit does require disassembly and is not included under the general cleaning price.
Q: What is the turnaround time for repair?
A: Once the estimate of repair is approved by the customer, repairs typically take 10-14 business days, dependent on parts availability.
Q: What is the warranty for repair?
A: We provide up to a 6 month limited warranty with respect to the repair service performed, which includes parts and labor. Damages after initial repair caused by impact (dropped), sand or water is not covered under the limited warranty.
Q: Do you have delivery shipping services to your location?
